Haka is one of the most reasonable buffet places I have went. Its really good when you want Chinese food. It started with Chicken Coriander soup, chicken wantons, chicken lollipop and Veg sui mui. There were other veg starters which i didn't notice. Moving on to the main coarse, it started with chicken noodles, chicken fried rice, chicken in green curry, prawn, chilly fish, lemon chicken. The taste was not bad but better than the haka in manisquare. And even the variety was much more. The buffet ended with desserts which was decent. The staffs were good and polite and the ambiance was decent as well. Overall a 3.5/5
Located in Salt Lake City Centre, this is one of the speciality restaurants which serve good Indianized Chinese. I was here recently for a dinner with my parents. The service is extremely courteous and prompt, and we ordered chicken and golden onion siu mai dim sums – brilliant, so soft and tasty, almost melting in the mouth. We also got a portion of fried rice, quite a good quantity for us, and Chicken in Kung Pao Sauce. It was a really nice dinner, with quick service, and good food.
This is located in the second floor of City centre, the place is big with good seating arrangement. Ambiance is very good. I like the ambiance. Fried wantons are very good and tasty. Awesome gravy noodles. One plate always leaves me wanting another. Their lamb dish is delicious. Buffet is also available.
I have visited this outlet many times. Nice culinary experience for Chinese dishes.
The reason why I say this primarily deals with 1. Their reception 2. Their cost effectiveness. We were celebrating our 2nd anniversary on that particular day and unfortunately couldn't manage a cake in hurry. But the restaurant attendees quickly sensed our anguish and arranged for a cake all by themselves. That was really appreciable! And what goes more is that inspite of the wide range of items displayed on the buffet counter, the price is as reasonable as it gets! Weekdays INR315 (PH) and increases a bit on the weekends! And whoops I never manage to taste all the items presented on the shelves. KUDOS!
Excellent food (Tangra type Chinese), acceptable decor and ambiance at unbelievable low price.
I had been to Haka two weeks back. I was on tour to Kolkata and one of my friends from the Sector V, IT hub took me there for lunch. It was empty when we landed there at 12.45 noon, but by 1.00pm, this 100 seater was full with all IT crowds down from Sector V.
We had some clear Soups, some starter (dimsums), the main course in noodle and some side dish (I think it was prawns in chili oyster sauce). All inclusive 375 bucks....Couldnt believe my eyes....the portions are pretty good, and the taste is as good as some of those Tangra joints.I repeated it next day for my lunch.
